Dress: A La Russe, available at The Closet | Shoes: Valentino | Lipstick: Chanel in Gabrielle
I’ve been to South of France quite a few times, both personally and for work. Having my wonderful in-laws living there made it feel like it’s my second home. I have my favorite local market, know where to get the best croissant and pretty much know the different areas other than Nice or Cannes.
I spent my Eid holiday with Anthony and his parents at their vacation home. I’m incredibly fortunate that I get along with my in-laws, and we spent most of our time with them, having champagne by the pool and discovering South of France vineyards. They took us where to have the best grilled fish overlooking Cannes, we discovered hidden art galleries in a small little village. But my highlight by far is our lunch at Peyrassol against a backdrop of a beautiful vineyard surrounded by over 40 large-scale art sculptures.
We digested our food by going for a walk at their sculpture park; some 20-foot high art sculptures smacked in the middle of the vineyard and some hidden amongst the roses in the gardens. Sculptures by Bernar Venet, Jaume Plensa, and Jean-Jacques Tosello seamlessly united contemporary art in a historical place Peyrassol.
Inspired by the synergy between art and history, it seemed like the perfect backdrop to showcase this beautiful creation from A La Russe, available at The Closet. The brand combines modern craftsmanship with a hint of history. Letting the dress speak for itself, it became one with the sculptures, transforming it almost like an art piece.
